Lady Red Spikers Still Unbeaten, Denies Lady Cardinals
San Beda Lady Red Spikers romped to its fourth straight victory as it dumped Mapua Lady Cardinals in straight sets, 25-8, 25-11, 25-23, in the 98th NCAA women's volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan on Friday.
Frances Molina came away with 19 and Janine Marciano poured in 18 points, including seven the team's 16 service aces, as the Lady Red Spikers kept St. Benilde Lady Blazers company at the top of the standings.
Precious Sedeno made four markers for Mapua.
In men's action, the San Beda Red Spikers denied Mapua Cardinals, 26-24, 25-23, 25-17.
Exciting volleyball action awaits next week as the Lady Red Spikers face the also unbeaten CSB Lady Blazers on Dec. 3 and the much awaited San Beda-San Sebastian showdown (a.k.a Marciano-Molina vs Soltones showdown) happening on Dec. 6.
