Undefeated Red Lions to extend winning run

Chalk up another win for unbeaten San Beda as it takes on winless Perpetual Help today even as defending champion San Sebastian and Jose Rizal slug it out for the No. 2 spot in the 86th NCAA men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.

The Lions, coming off a 92-68 rout over the Emilio Aguinaldo Generals last Friday, are heavily fancied over the Altas in their 2 p.m. encounter, looking for their 11th straight victory against a team they blasted, 101-77, in the first round.

But despite their overwhelming edge in manpower and experience, San Beda coach Frankie Lim remains wary of the Altas.

“There is no easy win in the NCAA if we don’t work hard for it,” said Lim.
