Juniors Dream Match
Giant TV network ABS-CBN will pit the UAAP and NCAA juniors division finalists in dream matches on Dec. 2 in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Being held for the first time in the PCCL, the games, held to raise funds for the “Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig” project, feature UAAP squads Ateneo High School and UST Highschool, and NCAA counterparts San Beda College-High School and San Sebastian College-High School.
The reigning 3-peat UAAP champs Blue Eaglets and Back-to-back defending titlists San Beda Red Cubs mix it up on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Philsports Arena, which will be followed by Game 2 of the best-of-three title finals.
Meanwhile, the Tiger Cubs clash with the Staglets at 12 noon in a game serving as a prelude to the PCCL battle-for-third game and Game 1 of the championship series.
PCCL chairman Reynaldo Gamboa signed the Memorandum of Agreement with ABS-CBN Sports vice president Peter Musngi, giving the said project a share of gate receipts of the two games.
“Champions League is honored to be part of ABS-CBN Foundation advocacy to rehabilitate our historic Pasig River,” Gamboa said.
