San Beda Advances To Fr. Martin Cup Final Four
EIGHT TEAMS, all from the NCAA and UAAP, locked horns in the knockout, quarterfinal round of the 7th Fr. Martin Collegiate Open Cup at the Arellano University gym last Sunday, March 6. When the dust settled, San Beda, NU, JRU and Adamson advanced to the semifinals in contrasting yet convincing fashion.

Reigning NCAA undefeated champion San Beda College survived Colegio de San Juan de Letran’s upset bid from the charity stripe. The Knights gave a good account of themselves and even took the lead, 68-67 on a Kevin Alas jumper with 2:41 in the final period before the Red Lions took it strong to their rivals, who were already mired in the penalty.
