San Beda-Maynilad Takes On Cebuana Five Today
Although the Gems remain the favorite because of their tested lineup, Cebuana coach Luigi Trillo said Borgie Hermida’s recent addition has boosted Maynilad’s backcourt.
“We will have our hands full,” said Trillo.
On Hermida’s debut last Tuesday, the Dragons dumped Junior Powerade, 119-67, posting the most number of points scored in a single game and the biggest winning margin at 52 points.
“Borgie is a big factor,” said Maynilad coach Frankie Lim.
The Dragons, built around reigning NCAA champion San Beda, are also banking on Garvo Lanete, Jake Pascual, Dave Marcelo and twins Anthony and David Semerad.
