Red Cubs Sweep Freego Elims

Defending champion San Beda defeated Ateneo, 66-54, to claim the No. 1 spot in Group A at the end of the classification phase of the fourth FCBL Freego Cup over the weekend at the Buddhacare Gym.

Arve Tolentino fired 17 points to lead the balanced attack of the Red Cubs, who swept all their six games in the classification round of the annual high school cagefest also supported by Talk ‘N Text. Tolentino was also named the Freego Player of the Game.

San Beda meets Xavier School --3 PM--in the knockout quarterfinal round, which starts today.
