San Beda Continues To Fight As Round 2 Starts In The NCAA Chess Tourney
San Sebastian blanked San Beda College, and University of Perpetual Help on similar 4-0 scores in the National Collegiate Athletic Association chess tournament held over the weekend at the SM City in Sta. Mesa in Manila.
Meanwhile, Mapua and San Beda College settled for a 2-all draw to end up tied for fourth place with 18.5 points.
In the juniors side, the SSC Staglets shut out San Beda Junior Woodpushers, 4-0, and topped Uiversity of Perpetual Help, 3.5-0.5, to stay in front with 26.5 points.
Action in the second round eliminations begins tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
