Defending champion San Beda and Letran renew their rivalry this Monday with the Red Lions shooting for their sixth straight victory in the 87th NCAA basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

The unbeaten Red Lions and the Knights meet at 4 p.m. in a game expected to be a rugged one.

It’s clear that two teams hated each other so much that there’s always a heated altercation each time they clashed.

Against the Knights, who are sporting a 4-1 record for their best start in three years, coach Frankie Lim sees a tough match.

"It's going to be tough," said Lim. "Galing din sa panalo ang Letran and they got some huge confidence right now. We just have to put up a more defensive effort and conquer their full court pressure."

Letran blasted St Benilde, 112-91, on Wednesday but that effort failed to satisfy coach Louie Alas.

"Yardstick pa din ng liga is San Beda," said Alas. "We can't play the same defense we played the last time out against San Beda. It will be a big challenge for our players, especially against their big men."
