Quick Recap: San Beda's Performance In The NCAA

Let's take a recap at some of the highlights and achievements of our beloved San Beda College in this year's NCAA Season 87. Something to be really proud of! Animo San Beda!

Basketball: Red Lions.They are currently on a 10-1 win-loss record. The Mendiola-based squad just defeated UPHSD and EAC showing a good start in the 2nd round eliminations. They dumped the Altas 55-69 and mercilessly clawed the Generals with a huge 118 points over the latter's 64.

Red Cubs.Still undefeated with 11-0, the Back-to-back junior's NCAA champions will try to extend their winning streak and prove that they are the "Prince" of the hardcourt.

Chess: Our Red Woodpushers placed 7th in the recently concluded NCAA Chess tournament. They got 4 wins, 3 draw games and 9 loses this year. Meanwhile, our Junior Woodpushers had 1 win , 1 draw game and lost 14 times this season.

Swimming: Sea Lions thumps One Decade of Domination as they were hailed this season's champion in the NCAA Swimming Tournament. The Red swimmers garnered 1308.5 points to seal its victory in the said event. On the other hand, our Female Sea Lions just hand San Beda its first women's swimming title for the said competition with eight golds, seven silvers and four bronzes. The Junior Sea Lions finished 3rd with 493 points.

Beach Volleyball: Our San Beda Beach Belles became a final four contender in this year's NCAA Beach Volleyball Competition. The Lady Spikers battled the Lady Knights in the semis but the former failed to move forward in to the finals but still maganed to finish at number 4 in the standings. SBC Spikers had a 3-6 win-loss record and in 7th place while the Junior Spikers finished at 7th with 2-5 win-loss card.

Table Tennis: Another championship title for San Beda College as the Red Paddlers successfully ended the season with a 9-0 sweep to regain the title for the 3rd time in the recently concluded NCAA Table Tennis Competition. Meanwhile, 7 wins and a loss made our Junior Paddlers this season's champion while the San Beda Lady Paddlers ended the competition at number 4 with 5 wins and 3 losses.

At Present: San Beda now has 4 championship titles - which includes Men's Swimming, Women's Swimming, Men's Table Tennis and Junior's Table Tennis - and some runner-up finish. We are still in good condition in Basketball and hoping to end the season on a high-note. Back-to-back championship title!

The Future: We are half-way through this season and as of the this time, we can tell that San Beda is really serious in keeping the General Championship Crown - our dominance is very evident. As the 2nd semester events draws near, let us keep on supporting our athletes and our school. Bring out the challenges and we'll win them all! For San Beda, our Country and God! UIOGD
