San Beda Alabang Jr. Varsity Cheerleading Squad Gets Ready For REDemption
San Beda Alabang HS Pep Squad |
This year, the girls will try to grab the 2012 WNCAA Cheerleading Championship.
Cheerleading is not foreign to San Beda Alabang, under the excellent coaching of Ajjie Mendelebar, the squad have won the WNCAA Championship for four consecutive years, making the high school squad being a source of pride for the Bedan community.
But if there's one thing the community can learn from these girls, is not just having that Bedan fire to be the best at a very young age, but also the team has also become a family. From their parents, the alumni, classmates, and other supporters-- each has played a helping role in making the team what it is today.
A fusion of the old and the new.
The team has also evolved through the years, from just a cheerdance squad, they now also perform traditional Bedan cheers in halftime, with the help of the San Beda Alabang HS male pep, the two teams have become a symbol how the old and new San Beda can work together.
We'll win them all.
The team have faced disappointments and challenges before but, teamwork and a sense of community what make them stay strong.
Please support the girls on February 25, 2012 at the WNCAA Cheerleading Championships 10 am at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Watch their official performance during the Sto. Niño Celebrations.
