Alabang Red Lioness Prevailed Over Assumption

CEU beat Philippine Women’s University, 81-35, on Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig. Earlier, St. Scholastica’s College nipped University of Asia and the Pacific, 64-63, after the colorful opening rites prepared by host DLSZ.

In the continuation of basketball matches the following day, Aug. 5, at the RTU gym in Mandaluyong, San Beda College Alabang joined the seniors winners with a 56-30 thumping of returning Assumption College, and Emilio Aguinaldo College stopped La Consolacion College Manila, 45-34.

DLSZ, the defending midgets champion, defeated St. Stephen’s High School, 36-5, in the event being supported by Goody, Mikasa, Molten, MJC Photography, network partner AKTV and radio partner Monster Radio RX 93.1.

In seniors volleyball on Sunday at the St. Scholastica gym in Manila, CEU also prevailed over St. Scholastica, 20-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-9, 15-12, while winning in straight sets were UA&P over La Consolacion, 25-19, 25-15, 25-18; PWU against EAC, 25-7, 25-15, 25-20; and Miriam College versus Assumption, 25-12, 25-18, 25-14.
