San Beda unloaded five three-pointers in the final quarter to turn back a persistent Arellano squad, 82-75, and clinch a twice-to-beat bonus in the Final Four of the 88th NCAA basketball tournament on Thursday at The Arena in San Juan.

With Baser Amer and Rome Dela Rosa waxing hot from behind the 3-point arc, the Red Lions wiped out a 57-61 third-quarter deficit to post their seventh straight win for an overall 13-2 mark.

Amer scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter, while adding six assists and six steals while dela Rosa also had 13 markers.

Jake Pascual finished in double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

With the defeat – their 10th in 15 games – the Chiefs were booted out of the semis picture.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Joe Lipa and the Management Committee junked University of Perpetual Help's protest in its 74-71 loss to Mapua last Monday.

In juniors action, San Beda crushed Arellano, 84-41, while EAC downed Lyceum, 85-55.
