SBC Alabang Red Lioness Claim WNCAA Crowns

Miriam and Rizal Technological U bagged three crowns apiece while San Beda College Alabang bagged two titles in the recent four-event sportsfest of the 42nd WNCAA held at the SBC-A grounds.

Miriam retained its midgets and juniors taekwondo titles and unseated De La Salle Zobel in midgets badminton to up its total season haul to four championships, including the junior volleyball plum last year.

RTU remained seniors champion in table tennis and taekwondo and ruled swimming to add to its earlier wins in senior volleyball and senior futsal.  San Beda likewise kept its midgets and seniors swimming crowns.

In other results, La Salle Antipolo defended its juniors badminton title while Philippine Women’s University topped the seniors division and St. Stephen’s High School wrested the junior table tennis title from La Salle Antipolo.

Host Centro Escolar U had earlier topped senior basketball.
