San Beda-Benilde Face Off In NCAA Opening
Defending NCAA champion San Beda and runner-up Letran play separate rivals in the opening day of the country’s oldest collegiate league on June 22 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The four-peat seeking Red Lions collide with host College of St. Benilde Blazers at 4 p.m., while the Knights take on the San Sebastian Stags at 6 p.m. in what could be an explosive opening day.
Interestingly, all four teams will have new coaches with Boyet Fernandez taking over from Ronnie Magsanoc at San Beda, Topex Robinson retaking his old position at SSC, Caloy Garcia replacing Louie Alas at Letran and veteran Gabby Velasco taking the rein of CSB after the resignation of Richard del Rosario last year.
