San Beda Avenges Loss To LPU
San Beda College overpowered Lyceum of the Philippines, 81-63, Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
The win avenged the Red Lions’ 66-70 defeat to the Pirates in their first-round NCAA men’s basketball encounter.
Baser Amer played in tandem with bigman Ola Adeogun for a combined 36 points.
Adeogun registered a double-double effort of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Amer tallied 17 markers and 3 steals.
The closest Lyceum got near San Beda was when the team got within 8 points, 59-51, in the third.
But the Red Lions surged on to extend their lead to as much as 19 points near the end of regulation.
Dexter Zamora paced the Pirates with 20 points.
