Random Thoughts: San Beda And The NCAA

Excerpts from Christian Soler's article in Inboundpass:

THE TIME between the end of the summer leagues and the beginning of the so-called mother tournaments is one of randomness, when confidence meets apprehension and expectation and reality reacquaint. It’s arguably the most boring time of the year, yet some call it a power surge as another collegiate season beckons. Whatever it is, here are a few random musings for college ball junkies.

3. Arthur dela Cruz, is reportedly (synonym of rumored) heading back to San Beda, a source who requested anonymity informed me.

4. Can anyone in the NCAA stop San Beda? Was that a stupid question?

5. Expect a San Sebastian or even Mapúa to make a dent the Red Lions’ sweep aspirations. But both teams have their issues, too. The departure of Gilbert Bulawan and Leo Najorda (playing years) and Rey Gorospe (joined wife in Japan) leaves the Stags with just Michael Miranda as a potential Sudan Daniel stopper/container, while the Cardinals can’t seem to protect leads down the stretch.

9. The NCAA is set to tackle the foreigner issue once again on June 27. That again? Even I’m sick and tired of talking about that.
