NCAA Policy Board Tackles Coaches’ Appeal
While Letran is already gearing up for the coming NCAA season, the league’s Policy Board is headed back to the negotiating table to discuss some nagging issues, among them the two-year suspension slapped on basketball coach Frankie Lim of San Beda and volleyball mentor Roger Gorayeb of San Sebastian recently.
Lim and Gorayeb have appealed their suspensions that were handed down by the NCAA Management Committee as a result of a brawl between players of San Beda and SSC last December at the St. Placid gym of SBC.
Along with the two coaches, various players were also suspended.
If the appeal is turned down, officials of San Beda and SSC are ready to come to the rescue of their beleaguered coaches and players.
"We’re already forming a team to appeal for reconsideration," said Rev. Fr. Anthony Morillo of SSC, a member of the Policy Board.
