NCAA South Season 13 Tournament Results
As host of the NCAA South 13th Season, San Beda College Alabang held the closing ceremony on March 13, 2012 at the Multi-purpose Hall of the St. Bede Hall Building. The ceremony was attended by various representatives from the ten member schools namely Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Calamba (CSJL), De La Salle-Lipa (DLSL), Don Bosco Technical College-Mandaluyong (DBTC), First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH)-Tanauan, Batangas, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas (LPU), Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas (PCU-D), San Pablo Colleges (SPC), University of Batangas (UB), University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna (UPHSL), and host school, San Beda College Alabang (SBCA).
“SBCA is honored to host the 13th NCAA, which started on August 13, 2011 and closes today, March 13, 2012,” remarked Rector-President Dom Clement Ma. H. Roque, OSB. He also mentioned that the ten member schools were able to bond and become good friends.
Dom Clement Ma. H. Roque, OSB and SBCA Coordinating Committee Chair, Fr. Paul M. de Vera, OSB awarded the trophies to the winners and member schools. The overall champion for the 13th NCAA –South Season was De La Salle-Lipa, followed by University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna and University of Batangas, which placed second and third, respectively. Although not placing in the top three overall ranking, the host-school emerged victorious in Basketball, Swimming and Taekwondo events. SBCA was the champion of the Basketball Junior Boys Division for the 6th straight time; the champion of the Swimming Seniors’ Women, Juniors’ Boys, and Juniors’ Girls Divisions; and champion of the Taekwondo Juniors’ Boys Division.
After the awarding ceremony, Dom Clement Ma. H. Roque, OSB officially turned over the NCAA-South Season flag to the next host school of the NCAA-South 14th Season, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas, headed by Mr. Peter Laurel.
