NCAA Cancels Saturday Games
The NCAA and the UAAP have cancelled their scheduled games on Saturday due to heavy rains.
NCAA management committee chairman Fr. Vic Calvo said that the matches between Mapua and Arellano at 4 p.m. and arch-rivals San Beda and Letran at 6 p.m. at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan have been suspended.

The UAAP games between Adamson and University of the East at 2 p.m. and University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas at 4 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Arena have been postponed to a still indefinite date, according to league president Nilo Ocampo.
Fans are advised to keep their tickets for it to be honored in the newly scheduled dates for the games.
Heavy rains have been pouring in Metro Manila since Friday due to the monsoon rains brought about by tropical depression “Ferdie.” Storm signals in several areas in Northern Luzon also remain.
The downpour has also caused the water levels of some dams and waterways to rise to critical levels, with PAGASA advising residents in flood-prone areas to evacuate.
