Bulldogs Tame Red Lions In 10th FMC
The National University Bulldogs stunned defending champions San Beda Red Lions-Team Behold, 86-69, in their Group A clash in the resumption of the 10th Fr. Martin Division 2 Cup.
Mark Porter fired 23 points while Alfred Aroga contributed 16 markers as the Bulldogs marched to their sixth straight victory in Group A.
Meanwhile, the Arellano University Chiefs crushed the Trinity University of Asia Stallions, 85-62, behind the 17-point performance of Kinsman Redeemer. The Chiefs now have a 5-2 win-loss record.
The Bulldogs and the Chiefs boosted their chances of claiming seats in the quarterfinals, which is reserved for the top four teams in the two brackets of the seniors division.
In the juniors division, the San Beda Red Cubs-B booked their fourth consecutive win with a 68-62 victory over Letran. Norrish Decapia topscored for San Beda with 15 points.
Meanwhile, Hope Christian remain unbeaten with a 3-0 slate after routing Adamson, 76-51.
Darius Estrella banged in 22 points for Jose Rizal to power the Light Bombers to an 80-71 victory over EAC-ICA.
