The race to the final four is getting intense and even more exciting.
Three-peat seeking San Beda College has already secured the first twice-to-beat advantage as early as last week with a superior record of 15-2.
For Letran to forge a playoff for the second bonus, it has to beat the already eliminated Arellano and San Sebastian (12-5) loses to San Beda.
If that happens, both teams will finish the elims with similar 12-6 marks, thus necessitating a playoff for the No. 2 spot even though the Knights beat the Stags in both the first and second round of the elims.
After dropping their last two games, the Stags scored a masterful 80-62 win over University of Perpetual Help Thursday, handing them a playoff spot for the twice-to-beat advantage.
San Sebastian’s win also towed Letran to the Final Four no matter what happens to their game today.
The fourth and last semis berth will be disputed by Perpetual and Jose Rizal University on Thursday.
