Borgie Hermida Named One Of The Coaches In Master Gameface
Teams competing in the 2013 FilOil Flying V preseason tournament will figure in the Master Gameface Basketball challenge in June with PBA players and Master facial cleanser ambassadors Chris Tiu and Borgie Hermida coaching the two selections.
Former Blue Eagle Chris Tiu will mentor a selection from Adamson, Ateneo, Letran, La Salle, Lyceum, San Sebastian, Southwestern U, UE and UST. On the other hand, a selection of players from FEU, NU, San Beda, UP, Arellano, CSB, EAC, JRU, and Perpetual will have former Red Lion Hermida as their coach.
"It's going to be a very balanced game," said Rain or Shine guard Chris Tiu. "Both squads have quality players to choose from and so much talent so we'll see what happens."
Fans can choose the starting line-ups through Master Philippines' Facebook account, with the players getting the highest number of votes per position earning a spot on the team. The two coaches will then pick 13 more players to complete the 18-man roster.
"The fan vote will be very interesting since the fans will have so many talented players to choose from," said former Shopinas.com Clicker and current NLEX Road Warrior of the PBA-DL Borgie Hermida. "We have a lot of great players: Ola [Adeogun], Bobby Ray [Parks], RR [Garcia]."
The All-Star game will be played on June 8, in between the semifinals and the finals round of the tournament.
