REIGNING five-time champion San Sebastian tackles San Beda, while Letran meets Emilio Aguinaldo College today in the restart of the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament semifinals at the EAC gym.

The Lady Stags are heavily favored against the Red Lady Spikers in the 2 p.m. duel, while the Knights are expected to breeze past the Lady Generals in the second match.

San Beda and EAC took over from University of Perpetual Help System Dalta and College of Saint Benilde, who were disqualified from the tournament after two of their players were discovered playing in an invitational league while the season is ongoing.

Before the decision was handed out by the NCAA last Wednesday, the Lady Altas and the Lady Blazers, who finished 1-2 at the end of the eliminations, were within a win of clinching finals berths.

Despite being the overwhelming underdogs, the Lioness and the Lady Generals are out to give their best shots after being given a new lease on life owing to the controversial turn of events in the league.

The top two squads after the short single-round semifinals will face off in the best-of-three championship slated next week.

Let's support our Red Lady Spikers!
